TRUiC’s Young Entrepreneur Scholarship

$5,000 Scholarship for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

TRUiC is excited to announce our new scholarship program aimed to help students planning to pursue an undergraduate degree in a field related to business and are aspiring to be an entrepreneur. The selected recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship to continue their education.

Applications are accepted for the upcoming academic year from January 25 to March 1, 2021, or until 250 applications are received, whichever occurs first.

Who is eligible?

Applicants to the TRUiC’s Young Entrepreneur Scholarship must:

  • Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in a field related to Business
  • Enroll full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
  • Aspire to be an entrepreneur.

Eligible majors include, but not limited to: Marketing, Finance, International Business, Business Administration, Accounting, and Management

TRUiC employees and dependents are ineligible to apply.

How much is the Award?

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award.

Is the Award renewable?

Awards are not renewable; however students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Awards are for undergraduate degrees only.

What is the selection criteria?

Finalists are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstration of leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a 1,000 character statement of career and educational goals related to entrepreneurship, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Financial need will not be considered.

When will the winner be notified?

All applicants will be notified in late April.

When will the Award be paid?

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of TRUiC and will be made in early August

Who is administering the scholarship?

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
