How Do I Elect A Registered Agent In Alabama?

In Alabama, you will be required to elect your registered agent when you complete your LLC’s Certification of Formation. The Certificate of Formation is the main LLC formation document in Alabama.

Electing a Registered Agent Online

You can form your LLC online at the Alabama Secretary of State website ($100 filing fee required). Your registered agent’s name and contact information will be requested in the Certificate of Formation under the registered agent section.

How Do I Change My Registered Agent In Alabama?

To change your Alabama registered agent, simply fill out the Change of Registered Agent or Registered Office by Entity form and submit it in duplicate to the Alabama Secretary of State along with a $25 filing fee. You can pay this fee by check, money order, or credit card.
