KEY CONSIDERATIONS: NORTHWEST VS. MYCOMPANYWORKS

When we started researching Northwest and MyCompanyWorks, we focused on three main questions:

  • Is it a good deal?
  • Is there a better deal?
  • Who uses this service and how was their experience?

Answering these questions will boost your confidence so you can choose the best service to get your business up and running.

Which One is the Best Deal?

Our overall ratings of Northwest and MyCompanyWorks are identical, speaking to their overall quality of service. However, the best deal between the two depends on what you’re looking for.

Northwest includes a year of registered agent service in its $29 plan. MyCompanyWorks only offers this feature on its middle and highest package tiers. In addition, Northwest’s package includes customer privacy protection.Their customer service system is also top-notch and is backed by many positive customer reviews.

MyCompanyWorks is easier to use and offers more extras per package. While Northwest’s package is pretty bare, MyCompanyWorks offers customizable operating agreements, free business tax consultation, and an offer for a free web domain. The middle and top-tier packages also include EIN registration. On top of that, their step-by-step wizard makes formation foolproof.

Who Uses Each Service and What Was Their Experience?

Northwest

Customer service is one of Northwest’s greatest features, and their available online reviews agree. Their customers enjoyed the speedy process and the helpfulness of the customer support system.

“I contacted several registered agents while doing research on LLC formation. Northwest's client support was the fastest and thoroughest in responding to all my emails and I felt that they were willing to answer all my questions before onboarding me, whereas a lot of other services promised to do it only after signup, which raised a lof [sic] of red flags. Very happy to have chosen to go with Northwest Registered Agent.”

“I LOVE working with Northwest Registered Agent. It's everything I needed. Their customer service is ON POINT. Look no further!”

MyCompanyWorks

The thousand-plus reviews that exist for MyCompanyWorks are extremely positive. Satisfied customers liked the simple formation process and the response from customer service.

“Fantastic way to successfully and efficiently set up your business. MyCompanyWorks want your business to succeed. All the setup advice and checklists were incredibly helpful. MyCompanyWorks was very effective and had a fair competitive price.”

“Matt and his team are very knowledgeable, responsive, and always provide top notch customer service. I have used their service many times and will continue to do so. This company ROCKS!!”

RATING DETAILS: NORTHWEST VS. MYCOMPANYWORKS

This section takes an in-depth look at Northwest VS. MyCompanyWorks, in terms of:

  • Value
  • Customer service
  • Ease of use
  • Included features

Value

MyCompanyWorks offers average but competitive formation prices. Their higher-tier packages are more expensive than Northwest’s, but the two have the same basic package price. At that package tier, MyCompanyWorks offers more features than Northwest with their operating agreements, tax consultation, and web domains. However, basic and middle-tier users will need to pay for registered agent service, meaning that the cost could add up quickly.

Northwest’s package price is affordable for basic LLC formation services. Their business incorporation service is $29 plus state fees, and offers expert customer support, premium registered agent services, and other features. For businesses looking for a one-off formation price, Northwest is a solid choice.

Customer Service

The majority of MyCompanyWorks users are satisfied with their service. Their customer service representatives can be reached by email or by phone, and their response time is usually no more than 20 minutes during regular business hours. What stands out is their 100% satisfaction guarantee if any customers find their service to be unsatisfactory.

Northwest’s biggest strength is their customer service. Like MyCompanyWorks, their online reviews are very positive, and we have to agree: the representative we spoke with for the formation process was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable in their field. Northwest also allows customers to request a preferred representative so that they can work with the same person, every time they call.

Ease of Use

MyCompanyWork’s biggest strength is their easy formation process. They provide users with a step-by-step formation wizard that goes through every step of the filing process so that there are no compliance issues that are missed. The rest of their website follows this straightforward pattern.

Northwest has a great website design, but finding the LLC package page was somewhat difficult. It took us a while to find the actual comparison page, but once we got there the information and fee description were both straightforward. Their checkout process is equally straightforward, and their online dashboard for customers organizes LLC paperwork neatly.

Included Features

MyCompanyWorks includes nice-to-have features at all tiers. Starting at their basic tier, they include operating agreement services, free business tax consultation, and a free web domain with a year of free web hosting. Their middle tier introduces EIN registration, and their top tier includes registered agent service as well as an LLC kit and seal. The biggest downside, again, is that they don’t include their registered agent service for all package tiers.

Northwest does not offer many extras, but their $29 package gives you everything you need. The package doesn’t have much, but it does still include a year of registered agent service and basic LLC services.

PRODUCT COMPARISON: NORTHWEST VS. MYCOMPANYWORKS

Northwest and MyCompanyWorks do more than just form your LLC. They each offer additional services, either included in their formation packages or sold separately.
