NORTHWEST VS. INCORP

Which Is Better for LLC Formation?

Looking for the best service to start your LLC? We used Northwest and InCorp to form LLCs, then compared their features.

In this Northwest vs. InCorp review, we’ll let you know if either is worth your time and money. We also recommend checking out our list of the top 5 LLC formation services.

Northwest with 3.25 stars versus InCorp with 3 stars.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS: NORTHWEST VS. INCORP

When we started researching Northwest and InCorp, we focused on three main questions:

  • Is it a good deal?
  • Is there a better deal?
  • Who uses this service and how was their experience?

Answering these questions will boost your confidence so you can choose the best service to get your business up and running.

Which One is the Best Deal?

Both InCorp and Northwest are established companies with glowing customer reviews from their users.

That being said, Northwest gives you more for less. For only $39 plus state fees, you'll receive a full year of premium registered agent services, customer privacy protection, and exceptional support.

InCorp’s formation price is middle-of-the-road when compared to their competitors, and that price only gets you the actual formation process. They do offer registered agent service and EIN registration, but you must include them as additional features for additional fees. However, InCorp offers a price match guarantee against their competitors and promises not only to match the price, but beat it.

Who Uses Each Service and What Was Their Experience?

InCorp

Of the handful of InCorp online reviews we found, the majority of them lean positive. Users liked their customer support interactions as well as the price match guarantee the service offers.

“We have been using InCorp for years now and have never been disappointed. I especially appreciate the live chat feature and have used it frequently through the years, obtaining quick and courteous answers to my questions. Truly wonderful customer service, which is, sadly, a rarity these days. Highly recommend.”

“I had great service from G***** D*** at Incorp during a chat. She was able to help me process name and address changes for my two corporations. She also was able to help me save money going forward. Pleasant interaction all around.”

Northwest

Northwest’s available online reviews also lean positive. Their users also enjoyed good customer service, but they also praised the speed of the formation process.

“I contacted several registered agents while doing research on LLC formation. Northwest's client support was the fastest and thoroughest in responding to all my emails and I felt that they were willing to answer all my questions before onboarding me, whereas a lot of other services promised to do it only after signup, which raised a lof [sic] of red flags. Very happy to have chosen to go with Northwest Registered Agent.”

“I LOVE working with Northwest Registered Agent. It's everything I needed. Their customer service is ON POINT. Look no further!”

Is There a Better Deal Out There?

InCorp and Northwest are solid formation choices, but other services offer just as much or more for less. ZenBusiness, which has packages starting at $49 (plus state fees) and includes a year of registered agent services as well as web domain services, is one of our favorites.

Takeaway

Northwest and InCorp both offer average formation prices and good customer service. While Northwest offers more features in their three packages, InCorp promises to match competitor prices to their sole formation price.

RATING DETAILS: NORTHWEST VS. INCORP

This section takes an in-depth look at Northwest VS. InCorp in terms of:

  • Value
  • Customer service
  • Ease of use
  • Included features

Value

InCorp has a price match guarantee on their services. Essentially, if you find a cheaper incorporation option on the market and inform InCorp of it, they promise not only to match that price but beat it. However, other services offer similar prices for much less than InCorp’s flat formation price (and often include more features), so it may be more worthwhile to just incorporate with someone else.

Still can’t decide? We recommend Northwest for the free premium services available in its $39 package. Northwest is a great option if you are working with a tight budget, but want a lot of added features. They offer one package at $39 plus state fees, which includes one year of free registered agent service, expert professional support, and customer privacy protection.

Customer Service

InCorp’s customer service is more personalized than some of their competitors. Instead of having to talk to a random representative every time you call or start a live chat, InCorp assigns you one representative for all of your accounts so that you can pick up where you left off easily. Their online reviews also praise the customer support system.

Northwest’s biggest strength is their customer support system. Our experience with Northwest was top-notch and went smoothly, and their online reviews agree that the customer service team is friendly and knowledgeable in their field. Somewhat similarly to InCorp, Northwest also allows you to request a preferred support member so that you can work with the same person each time.

Ease of Use

InCorp’s website is easy-to-use, but their price match may be finicky. Since they don’t have any packages, you see every available fee clearly on one checkout page. Their price match guarantee, although an excellent bonus, could prove to be challenging to work with: InCorp’s requirement is that they’ll beat competitors for “similar services,” so you could face a situation where they claim that the cheaper formation option is not similar enough to their services.

Northwest’s website is perfectly functional, if not slightly unclear. The biggest drawback is how long it took us to find the LLC package comparison page. However, once you find the page it’s clear what features are included in each package and what the prices are. Their online dashboard for customers also organizes all of your paperwork in one straightforward system.

Included Features

InCorp offers one basic package with additional features for an extra cost. Their formation package only covers the filing process and does not include registered agent service, EIN registration, or operating agreement services. Customers can buy registered agent service and EIN registration for an additional cost, but InCorp doesn’t offer any operating agreement services a la carte. The price for more features quickly adds up.

Northwest gives you core additional features alongside the formation price. While their $39 package is simple, it does include a year of registered agent service.
