Which Is Better for LLC Formation?

Looking for the best service to start your LLC? We used Northwest and IncNow to form LLCs, then compared their features.

In this Northwest vs. IncNow review, we’ll let you know if either is worth your time and money. We also recommend checking out our list of the top 5 LLC formation services.

When we started researching Northwest and IncNow, we focused on three main questions:

  • Is it a good deal?
  • Is there a better deal?
  • Who uses this service and how was their experience?

Answering these questions will boost your confidence so you can choose the best service to get your business up and running.

Which One is the Best Deal?

Northwest and IncNow are both established companies in their field with average formation prices.

However, Northwest stands out amongst the two with their national reach. On top of that, Northwest includes a year of registered agent service for their one $39 LLC package. IncNow also offers these features. Their positive customer ratings are also a nice touch.

That being said, IncNow is still a solid choice in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada. While they only offer services in these three states, their prices are still competitive and they offer nice features on their higher tiers like customized operating agreements and corporate form registration.

Who Uses Each Service and What Was Their Experience?

The majority of IncNow’s online reviews are positive. Satisfied customers praised the knowledgeable customer support system and the ease of the formation process.

“IncNow agents are very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. They are always willing to resolve issues and clear any doubts on setting up a new company or maintain a company. It is a great business resource we have in Delaware.”

“Starting a company was far easier than I could have imagined. If you are going to register in the state of Delaware, this option makes the most sense.”

Like IncNow, Northwest’s available online reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Users enjoyed the fast turnaround times and exceptional customer service.

“I contacted several registered agents while doing research on LLC formation. Northwest's client support was the fastest and thoroughest in responding to all my emails and I felt that they were willing to answer all my questions before onboarding me, whereas a lot of other services promised to do it only after signup, which raised a lof [sic] of red flags. Very happy to have chosen to go with Northwest Registered Agent.”

“I LOVE working with Northwest Registered Agent. It's everything I needed. Their customer service is ON POINT. Look no further!”

Is There a Better Deal Out There?

To be honest, there are other formation services besides IncNow and Northwest that give you more for less. Our favorite service so far is ZenBusiness, which has packages starting at $49 (plus state fees) and includes a year of registered agent services as well as web domain services.

Both Northwest and IncNow offer middle-of-the-road formation prices that are coupled with great customer service. Northwest edges out IncNow for their slightly cheaper prices and essential features.

RATING DETAILS: Northwest VS. IncNow

This section takes an in-depth look at Northwest VS. IncNow, in terms of:

  • Value
  • Customer service
  • Ease of use
  • Included features

IncNow’s formation packages are averagely priced. They are not the cheapest option on the market, but they certainly are not the priciest. Their Basic package is a good deal that includes registered agent service, and their Complete package also throws in a customized operating agreement. However, you can only use IncNow to form an LLC in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada, making their services limited to businesses that want to incorporate elsewhere.

Northwest offers one LLC formation package for $39 plus state fees. They include a year of registered agent service as well as privacy protection and premium customer support. That being said, there are still other formation services that offer similar services for a lower price.

Customer Service

IncNow has a solid customer support system. They offer phone support as well as email support during regular business hours, and they offer assistance for the lifespan of your business. Many online reviews of IncNow also praised the customer service for their overall friendliness and helpfulness.

Top-notch customer service is Northwest’s biggest strength. Their support team is professional and knowledgeable about their services. We experienced fast and accurate solutions when working with Northwest’s representatives, and the majority of reviews online agree. Northwest also allows you to request a preferred support member so that you can work with the same person each time.

Ease of Use

Customer reviews praise IncNow’s easy formation process. They list out each fee--both required and optional--so that users know exactly what they’re getting into. If there are any questions during the formation process, you can easily contact customer support. The only real downside is, as we mentioned previously, your choice of states to incorporate in is limited to three: Florida, Nevada, and Delaware.

While not as straightforward as some other services, Northwest’s website is functional. Finding the LLC package comparison page took us some time, but once we got there it neatly laid out the services and prices. Their checkout page is easy to understand, and their online dashboard for customers conveniently organizes all of your LLC paperwork.

Included Features

IncNow offers nice-to-have features but misses some important ones. None of their packages include EIN registration, and their basic package lacks an operating agreement feature. However, they do offer a year of registered agent service on all tiers, and their higher-tier packages include faster processing times and assistance with other IRS and corporate forms.

Northwest does not offer many extras, but their $39 package gives you everything you need. The package doesn’t have much, but it does still include a year of registered agent service and basic LLC services.

Northwest and IncNow do more than just form your LLC. They each offer additional services, either included in their formation packages or sold separately. You can view the following chart below for our side-by-side look at each company’s lowest-cost LLC formation package. NOTE: IncNow offers three business formation packages; however, we will not be covering what all of these packages include below. Instead, since Northwest Registered Agent only offers one filing option, we will compare it to IncNow's basic LLC package.

Because IncNow only offers incorporation in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada, we will be comparing their prices to Northwest’s Delaware formation prices.
